A Note from the Director

Last year as we prepared to have Tay Valley Bible Camp celebrate 50 years of camp ministry, we worked hard to make the camp grounds and buildings the best they could be to look presentable, if not impressive. As a result of this massive work project by both staff and volunteers the weekend was a huge success.

I spent hours walking around giving tours, answering questions, and pointing out the numerous improvements and changes that have happened over the last number of years. I listened to the various conversations of those who had been campers and staff in the past years, and I could not help but notice one common theme that keep coming to the center of every comment that was made.

It was not about the great games that were played during camp. It was not about the great facilities at camp. It was not even about the great messages that were presented. The common thread of all the talk was about two things.

The first was about how good God has been in real life situations. Testimonies about how God had healed, fixed things, changed lives, provided money, repaired broken lives, and saved lives.

The second thing was concerning relationships that were started at Tay Valley Bible Camp. Some spoke of the eternal relationship with Christ and others spoke about the friends that made during camp.

Tay Valley Bible Camp is in the people business! The most important part of the people business is the eternal relationship with God. If campers don’t come to a personal relationship with Christ at during camp or shortly after camp then we are not doing our job. The main goal of Tay Valley Bible Camp is to see young people come to know Christ as personal savior. The secondary goal is to teach them how to live as Christians and that we can have fun in Christ. This coming summer Tay Valley Bible Camp plans to continue with the two goals just as we have in the past.

We ask you to pray when you think of us.

We invite you to support the camp by giving funds as the Lord provides.

Lastly we invite you to come and help out. Work weekends are soon coming up and will be announced on our calendar right here on the website. website.

Thank you for your interest in Tay Valley Bible Camp.
